Collector Shields - Guild Wars Forums

Are people expecting the collector stance shield to be taken out of the game? Because I see people buy them in bulk at 8k a piece. I realize farming bleached shells is a huge pain and getting to the collector is a little annoying but...buying bulk?

They buy them in bulk at 8k and then resell them for 10-15k to other players. Heck several players on this forum have offered 10k each for the shield, so it would be a decent profit margin.

And the less scrupulous of them scream OMGZ TEH UBER LEET GAWDLYIEST SHIELD IN DA GAME ONLY 18K ONE LEFT WHISPA FASTZ YO! in every ALL channel of lions arch.... lol

I would to but this game is a place where people do almost anything for money.
Anyways...
I was looking on many sites and didnt see any rumor on them taking out the sheild so I would have to agree with Caleb and say that they are just trying to make some money.

1. It's a great shield, since you can't get higher than a +30 hp in stance bonus from any other shield, other than one green shield.
2. The bleached shells to get it are hard as heck to come by, either through farming or buying them off of players.
